A Romano-British bloomery smelting site at Udimore in East Sussex, dated to the 2nd century AD, is currently under investigation.
The 2025 excavation season at Great Park Wood will start on Saturday 26 April at 10.00am.
Subsequent digs will be on 3 May, 10 May and 17 May, each starting at 10.00am. Further work will depend on progress by mid-May.
